This article was part of my final research assignment for my advanced media writing class, the spring semester of 2025. For this assignment, I interviewed a number of Georgia State University faculty and student workers whose jobs were to help students struggling economically. This included food insecurity assistance, programs that aid students, and scholarships that assist international students struggling with housing and transportation. Through this assignment, I learned effective interview and investigative skills and how to write a quality research article to report on an important matter.

I attended a Barbie movie discussion panel at Georgia State University in early March where the host of the event invited me to cover the talk for this article. The meeting included conversations about multiple aspects of the Barbie movie and some of the inner meanings that might have been missed upon first watching. During the meeting, five guest speakers attended from a wide range of professional backgrounds in both teaching and psychology, and their talks focused on the deeper meanings of the film. While working on this article, I learned how to cover public meetings, as well as how to ask effective questions.
